20 years
ago, at 01 April 1998, an aspiring cadet was born who grew up in a military
village and raised by his parents that is both serving the Armed Forces of the
Philippines. In his early childhood days, he had a hard time in accepting that
his father will be always away from home that is why he is always sad every
time his father will go to his unit assignment in Visayas or Mindanao. As time
goes by, he accepted the dilemma having a military father whereas you will have
a peaceful place to live for free but your father will be always away from
home.
This kid
was named LEAN NASSER QUILES CARREON, who dreamed not like the other kids who
wants to be like mike thus he wants to be like his father, a military officer.
Before I enter the academy, I had many experiences in life that made me who am
I right now. Like in college, I realized that it is better that to be respected
by the people around you than to fear you. Furthermore, entering the academy
made me realize that how strong physically and mentally you think you are,
you’re still not ready. Just like when the reception started I was rotting to
the extent that I think I was going to collapse in the Borromeo field. There
are many experiences here in the Philippine Military Academy that I felt for
the first time like missing my family and friends in my hometown, I believe
that there will be more experiences as I continue my life as cadet here in
Philippine Military Academy.
In
Conclusion, living in a Military environment would really influence you in
dreaming to be a military officer. Moreover, there are many Ups and Downs in
the academy that you will realize and experience to the extent that you will
cherish forever by the time you get successful in life.
